Everyday Face

6 April 2015

I've not really posted about my everyday face before as I'm always swapping between products depending on my skin etc, but lately I've found myself steadily reaching for the same select few products that give me a quick natural makeup look without too much fuss. The bonus is that a few of the products are quite multi-purpose which makes things easier and quicker in the mornings!

For my main face I've been obsessing over the REN BB Cream which I've blogged about really recently so I wont go too much into it. Suffice to say it's a dream product for me, quick and easy to apply it evens out my skin tone, adds a hint of colour and a little bit of glow with a natural satin finish.

For my cheeks and eyes I just love this gorgeous compact from Lily Lolo, I believe it's called Shimmer Stripes in the shade Rose Glow, but typically the minute I fell in love with it, they stopped doing it! Disastrous considering I've started to hit pan! However, while it lasts its is wonderful for providing a blush, shimmer, eyeshadow and highlight. The rose, bronze tones are ideal swirled together or separately it has so many uses and colour options and I always get compliments when I wear this!

My eyes are where I probably spend the most time focusing on and I have worked out the perfect routine. First I apply a healthy coat of the Jane Iredale Mascara in Jet Black which helps provides a glossy back foundation coat of mascara that helps really separate my lashes and give them length, perfect also for my smaller bottom lashes. I then top this with a couple coats of Lady Green Divine Mascarade mascara in Noir. This mascara is amazing at providing volume, length and curl to your lashes. It really gives lashes a massive boost and works perfectly with the Jane Iredale mascara.

Next for my eyes I do a quick cat eye and flick with the amazing Dr Hauschka Liquid Eyeliner, which provides a bold, jet black opaque line, that lasts all day without any smudging or flaking! So far this is the best 'natural' alternative for liquid eyeliner I have come across!

Finally my face wouldn't be complete without filling in my brows and my product of choice is the Bella Pierre Eyebrow powder in Marrone. I find the powder really easy to work with and gives a bold but more natural effect than a pencil. The brown is also an ideal colour as it is quite red toned rather than ashy grey tones that I often find brow products to come out as. This powder also handily doubles as an eye shadow to create a smokey eye if I want to quickly boost my look.

What do you think of my everyday face product choices, have you tried any of these products before?
